New York Restaurant - Brockville

I absolutely love dining at this restaurant, been coming here for 40 years. The food and service are always top-notch. Today I tried the vegetarian spring rolls with crispy bok choy and mushroom sauce, and everything was delicious.

What a wonderful lunch! The General Tso's chicken and the hot and sour soup were both made fresh with generous portions. The chicken was made with choice breast meat, meticulously trimmed of any fat and gristle, then lightly breaded and fried before being smothered in a thick garlic and sweet chili sauce. I highly recommend trying this dish.

I worked at ny for 4 1/2 years, I noticed that two of the reviews were critical. I want to defend my job! in everything respect, although no restaurant eating is perfect, we strive for unique homemade, delicious Chinese food, cooked fresh to order. this is far superior to Chinese buffet restaurants! we also strive for accuracy in both delivery orders. as our customers have already said, this is their favorite restaurant in the opposite where they have come here for decades! we usually have a Chinese menu with a small Canadian menu for those who prefer it. concerning the names of our restaurants with new york, so it has been since 1930 when we first opened. the original owners wanted to bring a taste from the big city to the small town brockville, including the chinatown culture of the city new york. (this is my theory) please come back, give us a second attempt, we will try to please us better:-D

Excellent Chinese food. very nice dining atmosphere or they can order. reasonable price. friendly service. unfortunately the new york restaurant was sold to the Georgian drachen.

My family has been going to the New York Restaurant for over 40 years and it is still our go-to for great Chinese food. You'll find the standard Chinese/Canadian menu, but the quality and flavour of the food sets it apart. Do yourself a favour and try their egg rolls and their fried rice.
