Bidrage med feedbackNot extremely authentic but it will scratch the itch. I came here at 5pm when they were closing (not sure why because their hours indicated open). But they still let me in and served me a hot bowl of Pho. Much appreciated. The service is good. Food is good. Viet food cooked by Hispanic chefs but I will take it in this Tribeca neighborhood. This isn't Chinatown I know.
Average Banh Mi. Chicken dry, no cilantro? $17 is ridiculous.
VCafe is just as amazing as I remember from when I was a kid years ago. I finally made it back with my aunt and uncle and had the delicious lemongrass chicken and homemade ginger tea. The server Marta was absolutely lovely and so helpful and kind. The one thing I miss is the chocolate cake with warm coconut milk that got poured over. I still remember that cake from my first visit over a decade ago. Lots of love for VCafe!
We were so happy to see this place open again in Tribeca. What a great surprise to see they still have their grilled eggplant dish even though it wasn’t on the menu. The shrimp skewers and Bo luc lac were great.
The food was great, pho or bah mi or chicken skewers are amazing. The prices are very reasonable for the location.
