Bidrage med feedbackI just loved it. Been wanting to try the dosas from here for years and it did not disappoint. The portions were huge and the service was so great. I think it’s one of the best samosas I’ve had also, really delicious and made with love.
Well well, this was on my bucket list. It is located conspicuously at the Washington Park. If you take a walk around you will spot their truck. The wait time was average 2 hours. Dosa tastes aa dosa but the experience is worth standing in the line.It is closed on Sundays and other days open between 11am to 3pm.
Lived here for 10+ years and finally made it to the NY Dosa guy. I got the masala, idli(last two), samosa. I don't think it's possible to get a more uniquely NY experience. While NY is truly a melting pot, NY carts are typically known for chicken and rice, hot dogs... and the Dosa guy! I don't think you will regret the visit. Food was great, generous portions of the sambar, coconut chutney, excellent conversation! Somehow not impacted by inflation all three things were for $19!!!
It's a shame, as of today, 01/23/2024, there was no Dosa Man on site. I have no idea if it won't be available in January. The area with the adjacent Washington Park is also peppered with strange characters (bums). Not recommendable
A long ago when I was a kid , I was watching a TV show, Where this guy from Sri Lanka and his story telecasted, I loved his story and the way he was making food, It was one of my dream, If I ever visit New York, I’ll go to this guy and have Some dosa, Finally it happened and it was so nice to see a dream come true for me, Very humble guy so delicious and healthy food10/10
