Fu Yuan - Broad Channel

I ordered the small Curry Fish Ball Rice Noodle for $4 (Order Number B2), and it was truly excellent! The only drawback is that there isn’t much seating for dining in. Overall, I would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

This is a fantastic place for a quick bowl of congee and traditional rice rolls. The prices are reasonable, but be prepared for a wait in the morning, particularly on weekends. Food: 5/5.

The Curry Fish Ball Rice Noodles are wonderfully soft and smooth, with just a touch more firmness than usual, providing an enjoyable texture. The dish is generously topped with sauce, though I wish there had been a bit more peanut sauce. The flavor balance is superb, blending salty, nutty, creamy, and tangy elements from the soy sauce, peanut sauce, and sriracha/hot sauce. Sesame seeds garnish the dish, adding an extra touch. Although the curry flavor of the fish balls was somewhat masked by the sauce, they boasted a pleasing bounciness compared to other places. The rice roll itself had a really nice texture although the filling was very subpar. Disappointed because it could be so much better….
