Portside Tavern - Bristol

Made reservations although we probably didn't need them. Service was quick. Ordered a fish and chips with extra tartar sauce. The fish and fries were good. It was everything else that made the meal unpleasant. First, the tartar sauce was liquid. Like they had some left over in a bottle, poured water in there and then poured it into a dipping cup. Truly was foul. The cole slaw had to be old. It was so gross. Then the pickles.. it was cucumbers that kissed vinegar for 10 min. I am thankful the main parts of the meal were good, but if you can't get the little things right, what's the point of having them on the plate to begin with? I wouldn't eat there again.

This was not where we planned to have dinner, but I’m glad we did ! Had the calamari which was just ok. Ordered the duck, but it was not available, spirits crushed. Settled for the pork chop, and so glad I did. It was delicious and the only downside to eating every bite was I had no room for dessert! Hubs had steak bowl and loved his, but wanted mine after a bite. Our waitress was lovely, pleasant and accommodating. Oh and my dirty spicy ?️ martini was perfect!

Food and service was great. But they had this little table in the front for kids to get coloring books, crayons and lunchboxes filled with toys… I just thought that was the coolest thing. This is the first time my son hasn’t begged to watch videos on my phone and played the whole time. Such a simple thing to do but so cool and really appreciated.

Good food! Appetizer servings are enormous! Would have preferred my frites that accompanied my moules to have been served separately rather than piled on top but that 's just how I 'm used to seeing them served. Crab cakes were delicious, as was the calamari fish Reuben. Parking was easy but it was mid afternoon on a weekday.

Love this place!! The food, atmosphere, and employees are all fantastic. Korean nachos are on point!!!! Wonderful views. Parking can be a bit tough, but it's usually not too bad. Highly recommend.
