Totterdown Canteen - Bristol

Unfortunately no great evaluation, I ordered eier benedikt with additional mushrooms and the hollandaise was casual and hardly there, the muffins were stale and hard, and it was served with many rocket that had thrown yellow, black and wild... I guess I had mentioned this problem at the time, but there was nothing I wanted, nor had the time to discuss the obvious boil. I'm aware that they have a short personal/adjustment, but if they can't prepare something correctly, then they reduce their menu.

The mushrooms were wet and flacid, did you cook them in water? disgusting! it is obvious that who is in the kitchen is not a trained cook.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I am quite surprised to see some of the negative reviews on here. In my experience, Totterdown Canteen is a fantastic place to eat and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, even during busy times. On one occasion, we brought our son for his birthday and they noticed the occasion, placing a candle in his sausage to wish him a happy birthday - a lovely gesture! The food is affordable, consistently delicious, and importantly, not overly greasy. I urge you to ignore the negative reviews and give this place a chance.

The staff gets their order wrong and then the kitchen staff to call them that this is all their fault because they have not double checked their order. this is the experience we got when we went there. they speak slowly and loud and they say. it twice when they order at this place. a lot of luck! all but a pleasant experience.

Had eggs Royal and my colleague had a bacon and egg butty. Eggs were perfectly runny, quality salmon and lush hollandaise. Nice that salmon comes with a good wedge of lemon. Can't fault the service or food. Will certainly be back. Thank you guys for...quality grub :D
