Birthday lunch for daughter very quiet staff very polite and helpful.

Great selection of deliciously roasted meat (pork, gammon, turkey and lamb), roast and mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy and gigantic Yorkshire pudding.

Generally you can't go wrong with a carvery here. However we had a 12.45 slot prime lunch time. The Turkey and Beef on the carvery were just scraps and nothing new was brought out! Were they short staffed during the Xmas period ? A shame because I come here a lot and I would like to have rated it 11/10! Disappointed to have been served the scraps!

The restaurant had changed quite a lot since we were there (before covid.) we were impressed by how clean, tidy and well decorated it is. eating was just as good as we remembered and so was the service. we will certainly go back to more frequent visitors.
