Georges Fish - Bristol

The chips are really delicious and well-packaged, with great service and very friendly staff. I was very impressed with their generosity towards me as a delivery driver. In my opinion, this is the best chippy around.

The fish was delicious, the chips were excellent, but the mushy peas were a bit too watery. The fish shop has really upgraded since my childhood visit, with modern, clean counters and high-quality offerings. Our order of six portions of fish (5 regular, 1 large), a cake, two large chips, and three regular chips came to about £50, which was a bit pricey. The restaurant could use some renovations to better accommodate disabled customers, as the access ramp seemed outdated. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant, but there are spaces available on the side streets or at the blue bowl opposite. Overall, I would say the food was fresh and tasty. I have tried better fish and chip shops, but I would still recommend this one. I heard it is in the top 50 in the country, which may mean good things, although I'm not sure how they determine that ranking.
