Bidrage med feedbackWe recently had an enjoyable dinner at this restaurant after arriving in Brisbane for a weekend of shopping and football. I had a Zucchini waffle that was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The combination of waffle, rocket ,cheese and walnuts was just yummy and so big that I had to share with my husband to eat it all. I had a house Chardonnay to drink that was also very nice. My husband chose the beer battered haddock with salad and chips and was pleased with his choice and it also came with a beer and a dessert to be chosen from the display cabinet. (Tiramisu) also yummy and yes we did share. Would recommend a visit to this restraurant when in Brisbane as we have yet to be disappointed in our menu choices or the price and quality of the food.
We visited with a group of 5. Service was very quick Ambience is aesthetically pleasing Food menu diverse & well priced Cocktails are awesome! Highly recommend
Wonderful Pork and Prawn Rice Paper Rolls. Best soups money can buy. Service is quick, maybe too quick sometimes. The food is really fresh. This is a wonderful cheap lunch stop.
I went to Fat Noodle for a drink with my daughter on a Friday night. For the 2nd time in a row the service was bad. We sat at the bar, as directed by the concierge, and waited to be served. I went to the toilet and when I came back we still hadn't been served. The bartender knew we were there and didn't have anyone else at the bar. After I had gone to the toilet a waiter had come up with an order and he started making the order. Two other staff then arrived and all four started talking and laughing completely ignoring us. After approximately 15 minutes we left. I made a complaint to the concierge who apologised. I don't know if Luke Nguyen still owns the Fat Noodle but if he does or whoever does they have to do something about the poor service.
We dined here last week after discovering some of our favourite places were not open on weekends for lunch anymore.Partly because it was handy to our accommodation and because of Luke Nuyens reputation we chose Paht Noodle. Our BAD Brothers. We chose the beef cheek noodle and the "blackboard special" - fillets of barramundi with accompanying greens and steamed rice. The Beef was OK but was obviously made in advance in bulk and for the $24.00 cost not good value or 5 star quality. Even much worse was the Barramundi. Nowhere on the signage promoting this dish, on the paper menu, or passed on by the staff was it mentioned that the dish had a very high chilli component. This chilli overpowered the OVERCOOKED fish and made our $14.50 (each) glass of wine tasteless. Very disappointing. It is time these "Celebrity Chefs" with multiple outlets and TV shows who provide their name, if not ownership, protected their name by ensuring quality standards were met and client expectations met or exceeded. There were multiple staff on hand but the wait between courses was longish even though patronage was light.Overall in my opinion 3 points out of 50.LUKE - go and have a look and try for yourself or send a mystery shopper. You may learn something.I will never go back.Paul
