The Crampton Social Cafe - Brisbane

I really wanted to like this cafe! It's in an out of the way place in a suburban setting with good parking, plenty of outside seating and a friendly vibe. The coffee was good, but I was very disappointed with everything else. I was there at lunchtime on a Monday. There were quite a few other customers - a good sign-but it was not super crowded or crazy busy. But it was pretty obvious that the staff were having a bad day! Other diners were restless and it didn't take long for me to realize that they had been waiting a long time. So I was glad when my coffee came out after only about ten minutes. It was hot enough when it arrived but no amount of slow sipping would make it last long enough to be an accompaniment with my sandwich. If I had known that it would take a good half an hour to make a toasted cheese sandwich, I would have ordered the coffee to come with my meal! But who knew!!I ordered the cheese and pickle toasted sandwich but this turned out to be really a plate of arugula (without any dressing), accompanied by a small pickle sandwich with a hint of cheese. I could not identify the three cheeses that were supposed to be there and there was not enough to qualify as even one serving of protein. It was shockingly stingy!! The halved green pickle slapped in the middle, overpowered what cheese there was, and it was straight out of a jar, unseasoned and without any extra nuances. And I waited over a half an hour!!So I really felt ripped off. It wasn't worth anywhere close to what I paid and it could even come close to false advertising. Disappointing! Now, despite this unfortunate episode, I will probably go back. Everyone deserves a second chance and other menu items might be more carefully and generously crafted, but they will need to step up their game, service wise, and serve a higher quality product that truly delivers what it promises.

Having stopped here earlier in the week for a takeaway coffee and seeing their waffles on Instagram , I bought my boyfriend in for breakfast and coffee, they happily catered for my dairy allergy, a small hiccup resulted in a few laughs but overall the staff, food and the coffee are all amazing! My only complaint is that I couldn't have the waffles but it's probably for the best that they aren't dairy free haha will definitely be back!

We love crampton social its our lical cafe! The food is always soectacular the service friendlycand fun and the coffee perfect! It was a public holiday recenrly and i was looking for a place for lunch with my daughter and her friends. I rang Crampton at 130 pm they were about to close but said they were happy to stay open longer so we coukd have lunch! Amazing hospitality! True customer experience experts! Thanks guys all of us loved our lunch!!

Full bodied tasty coffee, food so fresh and healthy. Tried the mushroom bowl, was to die for. Staff very friendly. Great barista

Our new local! We somehow stumbled upon you on Instagram before we knew you existed and we are so excited! Every time we've been the coffee has been great and we've only eaten here once, but it was YUM! Would highly recommend!
