It has been for several years since I last visited in goma restaurant. I had liked to put reminders at local source, in season, production on show to the joy of my taste buds. today's experience was far from my dear memories. we have only to be shaken out of the restaurant for our booking period ordered, as they were not prepared. After we were finally placed in our seats, we were met with a menu that is a disappointing spirit of the earlier menus I had at goma. seafood imported from overseas and products (e.g. jerusalem artichoke) that are served from the season are up to what was goma earlier. the food was nice and the service was ok, apart from some inexperienced employees. a relatiw cheap and high quality meal.

Serendipity is fortuitously without research or planning stumbling across something that you find agreeable or makes you happy! How much more amazing is it when our nothing more than dumb luck you stumble upon an experience which is just simply joyous and sublime! By sheer dumb luck I chose GOMA for a lunch with my wife. On quiet Friday afternoon we stumbled . Talk about serendipity: what followed was one of the very finest dining experiences we have ever shared. It all started with outstanding service which came with a recommendation for the Chef’s menu carefully amended to meet some dietary restrictions and what followed was a culinary adventure par excellence! Given its location, the kitchen delivered a feast for all our senses. The food is an artwork which is beautiful to look at and even better to eat. We enjoyed every aspect of our meal the food, the wine, the ambience and the service. It was so good we went back for lunch today and ate a la carte. No, it was not a mistake to go back so soon after our first magical experience! Today the experience was just as sublime if not better! I enjoyed it all the oyster, the scallop, the anchovies, the tuna .. Each dish was a sensory work of art beautifully engineered, cooked with ingenuity and delight to eat. And the dessert a savoury whipped Comte cream just blew me away. I have eaten a few great meals in my life the two serendipitous lunches I shared with my wife at GOMA are right up there at the top of my list absolute excellence all the better because the experience was totally unplanned totally unexpected. All I can say is ‘thanks’! Dietary restrictions: The restaurant staff were excellent. The wait staff were attentive careful about my partner’s dietary restrictions; and the kitchen were flexible and the food was adjusted well to deal with our issues.
