Fix Restaurant & Wine Bar @ Port Office Hotel

I wasn't paying attention when I decided to try it. I was thinking 'gastro pub', which the front or bar may be, but I ended up in the dining room (restaurant). I was thinking of something lighter and chose the roast chicken (with a side of fries... Ok, I couldn't resist). De-lighted! Ambiance: very tasteful, old world charmService: I didn't catch the name of my waitress but she was brilliant - the right balance of service and attentiveness without being intrusive. The food came out in good time too. Quality: I was stoked with mine - perfect balance of protein to salad and sides. All really tasty. Price: fair (about $27 the main, $8 the side, and $9 the beer) but not gastro pub cheap. Yep, I'd return next trip to Brisvegas!

The Post Office is a great place for a fine pub food and excellent beer. Wonderful location. Set in the business end of Brisbane. Good parking and great shopping near by!

A friend had been here and raved about it so we thought we would give it try after a bit of a pub crawl around the city.This place is all about the food and the food was sensational! One of our group had the pate for an entree and commented it was the best entree he had ever eaten. A big call big I must say we all had a try if it and wowser! The rest of the meals were just fantastic and we will certainly be back. Great service, wine list and food!

The service, food, and ambiance were all excellent for our final meal with our tour group. Good choices for the set menu and everyone was very happy with their meals. Our curtained off area was private yet not too claustrophobic.

The ambience was great, the service, prompt and attentive, and the food was divine - for me and for my client - beautiful, fresh salad, crisp, hot French fries, delicious market fish, and perfectly cooked steak. We'll be back for sure.
