Bidrage med feedbackThe lamb samosas are fantastic, and the onion bhajis are very satisfying. The new coconut and banana dish is a great choice for those looking for a sweeter option than other desserts in the area. I would definitely recommend it.
I have always had a strong love for curry, being that it is Britain's national dish. While strolling through the Open Market, I was captivated by the delicious aroma coming from Mohammed's Spice Of Life. I ordered a veggie platter from the friendly server and enjoyed it outside in the sunshine. As I savored dishes like dahl, spinach, samosa, and veg curry, I couldn't help but wonder if the Open Market could become an international food court in the future. With already fantastic options like Kouzina Greek kitchen, Smorls falafel, and a Korean Japanese restaurant, why not expand? Imagine the covered market's center transformed into an eating area with benches and long tables. With top-notch eateries like Mohammed's, the Open Market surely has a promising future ahead.
The service at this restaurant is top-notch and the food is a true representation of the flavors of the Indian subcontinent. Just be cautious of the chili sauce, as it packs a lot of heat - my husband had to rinse his mouth out after tasting just a spoonful! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and Mohamed, the owner, is a delightful person.
There are various options in the refurbished Open Market and this might be the cheapest. There are various curries, meat and vegetable. The problem with the location is that the kitchen is small so food seems to be cooked in advance, kept cold, then reheated to order. The owner is very friendly.
