Bidrage med feedbackI have been getting Indian takeout from Kismet for the past few months, as I have lived in Hove my whole life. I regret not discovering this gem sooner. Each curry is made from scratch with love and expertise. It is a family-run business, with Milan being the friendly face at the front. I highly recommend this place, and I doubt you will find a dish you don't enjoy.
One and a half hours to deliver, vegetable bhuna so called was tasteless and made of cabbage and peas and some raw tomatoes was yuk. My wife didn’t complain about the meat dishes but she’s not fussy. Will go back to TIKKA our usual next time.
I ordered from this takeaway for the first time this month as a treat for myself. I always order king prawns and it’s interesting to see how many you get in different places! (A telling sign as to whether they’re scrimping on the shrimping or anything else! Anyway, it’s my new favourite place. They are so polite, so keen to please and good customer service is really important to me. The food was super indulgent and I felt very satisfied and happy at the end of it. For sure, this is my new monthly treat!
I have been dining at Kismet weekly since the lockdown and the service has been excellent, especially considering how busy they must be. I try a different dish each week, mostly chicken dishes, and I have never had a bad meal. My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Chilli Masala with a side of coriander naan.
What a disappointment this takeaway was and it was for my husbands birthday, he fancied a curry and we hadn't tried here before. Tasteless food and not as described on the menu. We decided to call them and in the nicest way possible expressed our thoughts on the food and where we felt it missed the mark, sadly, they did not want to know which is how so many takeaways react as they feel they can hide behind the phone and already have your money so what do they care. If it was a restaurant and we had been sitting in, it would have been a different story. FYI if you order the Paneer be aware that they actually use chedder, it's not the 80's!!!! also, they chop up a king prawn, no actual full king prawns. Don't waste your money. We didn't want to write a review as we know times are hard right now, a partial refund would have been sufficient but they told me to go ahead and write the review so here it is and the food is in the bin, we expected better on every level. Sorry Kismet.
