This restaurant serves delicious sandwiches with fresh ingredients and quality bread at great value in Kemp Town. However, the interior could use some improvement. It may not be the best place for dining in, but it is perfect for grabbing a takeaway sandwich.
I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The fried egg I ordered was greasy and undercooked, so I had to send it back. When it returned, it was cooked properly but I still wish I had just returned the whole dish and left. The vegetarian sausages were awful - they were so bad that they would likely discourage anyone from trying a vegetarian option. I couldn't even finish one of them. The bread was thin and plain white, even though there were more interesting options displayed in the window. The saving grace of the meal was the baked beans, as there were plenty of them and I enjoy beans. The tea I ordered was good, but for the price of £7, there are much better options in Kemptown. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this restaurant, which is a shame because I like to support local businesses.
The place could do with a rethink of how they run it. Rostis are tasty if a little greasy. Sandwiches are big and freshly made with decent ingredients (no mass produced tubs of filling here) but it's just a bit rubbish inside. Shame.
My sandwich here was nice. They had a big selection of fillings and lots of examples for you to try. i really loved a chocolate cake i had too. I ate in and the inside of the place wasnt great. If you fancy a sandwich and are in the area, i would definitely recommend this place but I would say to take it away and not eat in.
