Bidrage med feedbackWas surprised by how nice this hotel was. It is now the Royal Leonardo Hotel and offers a high quality standard of stay . The reception and public areas are spacious, bright and modern. The rooms are large and have superb facilities. I had a meal in the restaurant superb (had the seafood pie , can highly recommend) . Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good choice of hot and cold options. And on top of that parking in The Lanes car park was almost on site and so convenient. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again.
Won’t be back. Used to be a regular, staying a few times a year. First stay since 2020 for three nights. Lobby and lifts stank of chlorine, Room tired with worn carpets, wet carpet in the corner of the room, no soap in the bathroom and hairs and dirt No soundproofing, incessant music from the foyer all day and evening and could hear people in the foyer all the time, then people in the other rooms and above. Absolutely no soundproofing! No decent sleep. The car park was stinking with human faeces and urine and the lift area filthy. Homeless using the car park. Nothing good to say! And I used to be a regular. Will stay elsewhere Won’t be back. Absolutely dire.

Stayed one night and no hot water to shower no apology told the boiler was broken and would be fixed later in the day this is not much use when you need to check out
Good bedroom huge comfortable bed. Shame we still have to climb into a bath to take a shower. Large shower head, plenty of water pressure. Still use individual shampoo and gels rather than multi dose dispensers. Went for a quick bite to eat on Sunday lunchtime. However, no such thing as a quick bite here. Twenty minutes before someone showed any interest in taking our order. Strange when some appeared within three microseconds of us sitting at a window table to tell us that the table was booked (two other people in the restaurant). Having ordered, a good forty minutes before anything edible arrived and none of our dishes would have taken more than ten minutes to prepare. Food was ok. We left two hours after being told to move from the “reserved” table, which, as ALL of the other tables in the restaurant, was empty. There appeared to be one staff member in the restaurant and one on the bar. The gents toilet was out of action, and still is 36 hours later. One lift out of action on arrival, and it still is 60 hours later. Poor staff management. Poor maintenance. Get you act together. Would I go back on this performance, definitely not.
