Bidrage med feedbackA very cool place to sit in, with antiques as well as food, but the vegan brekfast was very small. They served it with sachets of dairy butter not great for something marked 'vegan '. However, the staff were nice and the food was tasy and fresh, depsite the very small portion.
We had to come to Brighton for a hospital appointment which took longer than expected. Afterwards, driving around looking for somewhere for a late lunch, we happened upon this place. What an unexpected, quirky, joy. A lovely welcome from George Joe, and great food. A happy time.
Absolutely delighted relaxed and fabulous coffee well worth it will try the food next time as the quality of the food and portions are fabulous well presented and the host a great Italian xxxx you can’t go wrong xxxx
Initial impression was of a quirkily decorated cafe incorporated within a bric a brac shop. A mixture of clientele workmen, a business meeting, a lone laptop user. We sat at a table that could probably have done with a wipe down with a cloth, but hey, our server was attractive, friendly and warm. We ordered breakfast and coffees, and these were very good. The food took a while, but was tasty when it came. Our enjoyment declined rapidly upon the arrival of a very rude man who was meeting another customer. His language was inappropriate: swearing every other word, homophobic and transphobic, and addressing other customers in this way. His behaviour towards the staff was despicable. In my opinion he should have been asked to leave the premises. However, his demeanour was such that I suspect he would have kicked off at any moment, and the two young people behind the counter probably hesitated to confront him. We voted with our feet and left.
Quirky breakfast cafe in a vintage shop, outdoor seating. A bit expensive for what it is eg: bacon and egg sandwich etc lots of other nicer cafes in a small radius from it
