Bidrage med feedbackFirst Dumu is a great cafe. We enjoyed the best coffee in Bright, and served by the loveliest people. But more than that, going to Dumu made us much more aware of the long history of the land and the Aboriginal culture associated with this part of the world. The cafe trains Aboriginal people form the Northern Territory - there's a really interesting story behind it all. Definitely worth going up those stairs!
This is a wonderful cafe that is helping train indigenous youth. It became our daily morning to-go. The prices are very reasonable and the quality and freshness was why we kept coming back. I particularly love the Buddah bowl, it's huge and each day slightly different with fresh greens, nuts, and that devine sauce. They also sell crafts I just love my new earrings made by one of the school indigenous highschool girls. Thank you Dumu!
Thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and was most impressed with the ethos of giving our indigenous youth from the Northern Teritory an opportunity to learn skills that enable them to be proud role models for their sisters and brothers.
Recently had coffee and cake at Dumu Balcony Café. Hadn't realised they served Coffee Chakra coffee which is roasted nearby in Myrtleford. Only place it's available in Bright. Delicious chocolate cake with it. In case you didn't know, Dumu is a training Cafe for indigenous students from Wadeye in NT. It was really encouraging to see our waitress Margaret in her first week learning how to take orders, serve customers and use IT. Well done Dumu!
Dumu is a training cafe for indigenous youth. As a result, the service was pretty slow... But when the food came it was delicious. Homemade nectarine cordial was a highlight.
