Howling Hot Chicken - Bridgeport

We?ve been here a few times since opening, and unfortunately, as said by another review, the food and service has progressively gone downhill. I?m not one to usually leave bad reviews, as I also work in a largely service based industry and understand howdifficult finding quality staff members is, but management should be made aware of what is happening. We placed a phone orderat 6:02 PM tonight, asked how long the wait would be (as we had plans later on) and were told that it would take 10-15 minutes.We arrived at the restaurant at 6:15 PM, only to be told by the cashier that our ticket had never been actually printed and thatit would be out shortly. Annoying but mistakes happen. There were two customers ahead of us, who also had clearly ordered aheadof time and had been waiting for some time. There were three staff members (the cashier and two cooks) who were clearly verypreoccupied doing other things (on their phones, joking around with one another, taking pictures of family members who weredining in the restaurant). We watched several times as one of the cooks handled other things (their cellphone, hug theircoworker, ran their hand over the countertops and their hair) without changing gloves before directly handling the chicken withtheir hands. Maybe I just never paid attention before (as it never took 25 minutes to prepare two chicken sandwiches) but itdoes seem incredibly unsanitary to prepare chicken on one side of the kitchen and use your hands to transport the chicken to theother side of the kitchen to prep it. We did not receive our food until 6:55 PM- 53 minutes after initially ordering and 30minutes waiting in the restaurant. The two customers in front of us waited almost the same period, none of us had big orders.Our food sat on the counter for several moments until we got up to just take the to go containers and the cashier then startedbagging it up for us. Definitely 5/5 stars. Very clean and modern inside with a nice staff. I ordered the hot 3 piece tender combo and after tax it was $17.01 which I thought was a little high but it managed to feed me for lunch and dinner no problem so I can?t complain. Thechicken tasted fantastic, the heat didn?t overpower the flavor but was still strong. The seasoned fries and house dipping saucewas great too. Would definitely recommend this place to others and plan on coming back when I?m in the area again

Beautiful place. small but lovely. inside and outside seats. free parking. friendly staff. this place is all about spicy chicken to make them howl .. whew! the huh has kick. pretty expensive and menu has some very strange selections like buy 1 huh nugget, or 1 tenderly quite different from the normal 3 piece. 1 nugget is about $2 and a tender or wing is about $5. . They can drink to something and fries for about $3.50 which is pretty good. a chicken sandwich is about $8. this place is different. Eating is pretty good. You'll like it when you're hot.

Delicious fried chicken right on Main Street. There are a wide variety of options, all reasonably priced. Also, you can get chicken strips or nuggets individually, served with delicious sauce on bread. The nuggets are a decent size too. Be warned: the medium is spicy! The light has a kick to it, but it’s bearable and hits the spot. I got the chicken sandwich and it was soooo delicious. Perfect size too. I will definitely be going back.

What happened to this place?! I’ve ordered from here many times and my latest order might be the last. On multiple occasions my order has been incorrect, including this one. Ordered my usual Sando meal and received the Sando Jr., or so I think. It was one tender on a small bun. Sadly this restaurant is becoming very inconsistent. Each time I have received different variations of French fries sometimes deliciously crispy but soft waffle fries, and other times soggy thick fries. I always order lite mild spice level and definitely have received very hot on more than one occasion. Even the way the food is presented has been different each time, as well as the menu offerings like combos. I’ll admit the chicken and waffle fries are amazing, when it’s right! The wait times have been much longer lately too. I miss the days of the Sando Meal which included waffle fries and a side of comeback sauce. Very conflicted when the order is right the food is amazing, but the inconsistencies are becoming annoying and I feel as though I’m wasting my money.
