I visited the restaurant today at 1:20 pm to purchase two hot sausage rolls, but they were completely sold out. When I asked if they ever had any, the response was, "I'm sorry, we haven't got any." We have tried to buy various items at this Greggs location in the past, such as warm sausage rolls, Festive Bakes during Christmas, and warm Sausage Cheese and Beans slices. Sometimes they only offer cold items. However, considering their prices, we find it more economical to buy from the supermarket and heat the items ourselves. They have not had the items we wanted for the past two years, and it seems like they are afraid of having excess stock at the end of the day. I do not recommend this restaurant. I will give them another chance to improve, but for now, my diet is going really well.
Earlier this week, we had a wonderful day out in Bridgend, visiting McArthur Glen, the retail parks, and Bridgend town center. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and had to leave early. Today, we arrived before the shops opened, realizing that the current pandemic has taught us to appreciate the local attractions more. To start our day, we decided to have breakfast at Gregg's because we enjoy their tasty food and affordable prices. For less than five pounds, we got two cups of coffee and a bacon roll. Before leaving, we also bought some sausage rolls, steak bakes, and doughnuts to enjoy later in the day at Wiggly Farm and hopefully at the beach.
Greggs is a fantastic spot to stop by for a cup of tea, cake, or pastry like a steak bake or sausage roll. I particularly enjoy their bacon roll and drink combo in the mornings. The restaurant tends to be bustling with activity, but the staff are consistently welcoming. The establishment is kept neat and tidy.
We enjoyed our Christmas sandwich and latte staff very busy over worked but food and service was excellent
