Bidrage med feedbackRooms: Rooms are mixed of main house ones and then extensions built for rooms. I had a room in the extension part which was disappointing to me. Rooms pretty basic and what you’d expect in an older “house”. Nice and clean. Tea and coffee making in room. Has a bath. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet
Beautiful Hotel. Great location near Stratford-upon-Avon. Lovely rustic rooms. And dining. Excellent English Breakfast Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value
I felt compelled to write this review in the hope of improving the experience for future guests who choose to stay here. My parents reserved this establishment to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, reserving a total of 7 rooms and 2 apartments. The hotel's location is excellent for those visiting Stratford or golf enthusiasts. In the morning, I used the gym, but I encountered some issues, with several pieces of equipment out of order and no working air conditioning, resulting in poor ventilation. Later in the day, we brought our kids to the pool between 4:30-6:30, but this place is not kid-friendly; children are not made to feel welcome in the pool area. We stayed in an apartment, which was lovely. Had I known we had access to cooking appliances, I would have skipped dining at the main hotel, which leads to my next point. In the morning, I had to visit the reception due to a blocked shower in the master bedroom, causing the bathroom to flood. Additionally, the family bathroom lacked a screen door, leading to water splashing everywhere. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows urgently needed replacement, as they were old and lumpy. Breakfast was passable, but I believe I could have prepared a better meal myself. For Saturday night, my parents had booked a small room for everyone to have a meal. All guests had previously submitted their meal choices, but the hotel managed to get the list completely wrong. Two people didn't receive their starters, and it was evident that mistakes were made. The adult menu didn't offer anything I could eat, so I opted for the kids' menu and ordered a burger and chips. To say that the meal was disappointing would be an understatement; if Gordon Ramsay were present, he would surely have some critical words to share. The cutlery also appeared dirty and in need of replacement. In conclusion, I would not consider returning to this place. It is simply not worth the price they are charging. Some investment in improvements, including a menu revamp or even a new chef, seems necessary. Noteworthy details: Needs money spending on it
Beautiful setting below the Welcombe Hills with stunning formal gardens below the hotel terrace. Sadly slightly down at heel feel with grass not kept cut neatly and clippings collected. Tables still had debris from breakfast at noon. Coffee machine not working. Staff helpful but rushed off their feet. Despite these problems it is a good dog friendly venue for coffee but I am not sure I would risk a meal. Oh and guestsneating their own food and drink on the terrace suggests not as upmarket as the architecture would suggest. Walkability: Close to the nature reserve and Stratford Town centre and the river. Golf course and health spa with pool part of the hotel.
I had a wonderful time here, everybody was so friendly, food was great and they all loved my dog! Noteworthy details: Heel hond vriendelijk Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value
