Bidrage med feedbackWe dined indoor vs scenic veranda due to cooler tempos and this is where a few kozier dinge would help the culinary experience. there were two kamine, neither illuminated, no music, but looked plentiful loudspeakers, tables strangely felt a little unpleasant. the meals were delicious and we enjoyed them very much. gnocchi for me and steak for my partner. we share a beet and blueberry salad. smaller portions, but enough space for the desert of rumbrotpudding.
We stayed for two nights at a beautiful, remote location. We had booked a culinary experience with Earling and her assistant Andy, who were both fantastic individuals. Our time there was quite an adventure. One morning, while we were baking bread, there was an unexpected power outage that affected the entire area. We decided to go to the market in town and then forage for Chantrella mushrooms on their wooded property. Thankfully, the power came back on in the evening and we were able to continue our culinary experience by helping out in the kitchen. It wasn't what we had originally planned, but it turned out to be a great meal and a fun challenge for all of us. We wouldn't trade this experience for anything! The dinner was enjoyable (and delicious), and the breakfasts on both mornings were excellent.
Call ahead for reservations at this small, tasteful, excellent restaurant which is part of the Chanterelle Inn. They'll tell you over the phone what's on the brief menu, as it changes nightly. All the locally sourced components are listed on the menu, and some are grown right on the property. It's a beautiful 30 minute drive from Baddeck. The staff is friendly and solicitous.
My husband and I stayed at the Chanterelle Inn and made reservations for dinner. All the food is locally sourced so you know its fresh. We enjoyed a blueberry and beet salad along with the crab bisque to start. We both opted for a sizeable lobster accompanied by cooked veggies and corn on the cob. We finished dessert with a strawberry-cranberry fool and a blueberry raspberry cake. All in the all the meal was delicious and reasonably priced. And the screened in porch is a lovely setting for a dinner meal. A great experience!
My girlfriend and I were staying at the inn for two nights and had dinner at the restaurant. The food is delicious and all made with local ingredients. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. A lovely spot to have a high quality dinner.
