Guggerhof - BRESSANONE

We have long been looking for a South Tyrolean cuisine in the Eissachtal. Today we found the guggerhof. a super kitchen, bombastic. we think here are the best imperial fools of the world with a super view over brixen and the whole valley.

We stayed in this farm for pure case since we found no place where we could have lunch and menomal that we found it! Arrived in this agriturismo site in the hamlet of Elvas a Bressanone. The location was presented in classic Tyrolean style with views of Bressanone and the valley. The farm also had a vast vineyard which was possible to walk inside. We ordered a cutter of local salami and cheeses and then as first dishes a plate of canederli tris and tagliatelle to the game all accompanied by a good local wine. Before serving us the dishes brought us an aperitif of the house and the chestnuts really excellent both of quality and for how they had been cooked. The cutter was exceptional and the first dishes were very good. Very courteous and professional staff. For the view and quality of food and the price ratio I highly recommend it. I hope to return as soon as possible, we really stayed in the heart as a location. We miss Guggerhof!

Farmhouse on the hill above Brixen with spectacular view. Typical local with possibility to eat on the outside terraces and inside the farm. We ate the canederli tris, a cutting board of farm products (speck, cheeses accompanied by typical bread and various sauces). White and red wine produced by the farm. Excellent desserts served with blueberry sauce and currant. Mugo pine and chestnuts. Open from Wednesday to Sunday both at lunch and dinner before 20. Recommended!

Local characteristic with outdoor tables and indoors, beautiful ancient stube, the food is great and the wine is wonderful grappa, only neo the waiting times that in busy days can reach the 2 hours. But you know, you go to spend an afternoon or an evening in company, and wait a bit does not bother so much.
