La Nuova Piedigrotta - BRESCIA

Food really excellent for the price. I had a risotto with lemon and shrimps, my friend got a pizza with provola and courgette flowers, and both were excellent. Service nice and friendly.

Went in this place on spec as we knew nothing about it and that turned out to be a lucky choice. It's a pizzeria but does other dishes as well. My wife had a prawn dish and I had fritto misto. Both dishes were very good. The service was also good. The house red was ok as well. An enjoyable meal.

I am Italian living abroad, whenever I am back in Brescia I always like to try new restaurants. I was presently surprised by this pizzeria. It has various choices of pizza toppings but also few choices of different flours (Kamut, whole wheat and Spelt). It doesn't do Napoli style which is my favorite but this crust is nicely done and real thin and crispy! One mark down because I think the menu is slightly overpriced.

I eat the pizza this place years ago but still remember his taste

I have enjoyed a wide choice of pizzas toppings, most of them quite innovative and fun, in an informal and quiet environment. Recommended for big groups but also for couples
