Bidrage med feedbackFantastic experience in gastronomy. delicious dish, very friendly and wiling service and beautiful restaurant. I look forward to next time
Previously it was called mercure bregenz. I've been visiting it for 30 years and always loved it. I sometimes felt like a hotel in East Germany before the wall collapsed. the name change came with a dramatic change...for the worse in service, from the reception where I saw a line of 6 people waiting, unless someone at the bar was also to help. the service at dinner is appaling, with a fixed menu that most people don't like. if they want to be told by the waiter sir, they can't change that I saw whole tables standing up and leaving when they saw the menu and were fed up by the aggressive behavior of the waiters. I understand that it is the first season of the newly named hotel during the music festival. Hopefully it's the last in this form, and a couple of guets with whom I spoke had the same opinion. is it the crazy dream of a chef in paris, hoping that a dinig star will be won by name change and will be or her menu be opened without alternative? I sat next to the kitchen entrance and experienced the total organization of the waiters who run everywhere, and brought the wrong eating to the people. or even worse, if you want to choose the 2 cursor menu and switch to the 3 cursor menu (and pay for what I did), you must first check with their chef, a big guy with a Bible size book in his hand, as lost as his associates. the grand hotel has only one name. maybe they come back to the winning team of mercure bregenz one day and end this nightmare.
During the festival season this is very popular, it is very nice to sit outside and we must say that eating is very good, all we had to eat (more times) were well prepared and well. we were a little surprised that a restaurant like this. a single wee of the glass had, even if it was a good wee, they expect a greater choice. remember, this is a big restaurant. the service is usually somewhat indifferent.

It used to be called the Mercure Bregenz. I have visited it since years, and always loved it. Returning this July, I felt at times like a hotel in East Germany before the Wall collapsed. The change in name came with a dramatic change...for the worse in service, from the reception desk where I saw a line of people waiting, unless somebody at the bar was there also to help. The service at dinner is appaling, with a fixed menu which most people dislike. Would you like to be told by the waiter "Sir, YOU CAN NOT ORDER THIS"? I saw entire tables getting up and leaving when they saw the menu and were fed up by the aggressive behaviour of waiters. I understand that it is the first season of the newly named hotel during the Music Festival. Hopefully it is the latest in this form, and a few guets I talked to had the same opinion. Is it the crazy dream of a chef in Paris hoping that a dinig star is won by changing names and imposing his or her menu without any alternative? Or worse, if you choose the course menu and want to switch to the course menu (and paying for it,which I did), they must first check with their boss, a tall guy with a bible-sized book in his hand, looking as lost as his employees. The Grand Hotel has "Grand" only in name. Maybe one day they will come back to the winning team of Mercure Bregenz and end this nightmare
