Bidrage med feedbackWe arrived on a very busy evening to a full house, greeted by the owner (wife) and daughter Elena who escorted us to our table. I was presented with the wine list, and saw some real Italian bargains...like a 2007 Barolo 1.5 liters for 176 CHF. The list was so extensive i asked if they had a wine cellar... Elena promptly gave us a tour of the lower level which had a room where the game hunted by her father were cured, a nice private special event room...pleasant aromas of the game filled the air...the wine cellar was there and had cases of every premium Italian wine one could imagine. I was impressed she took time out of a busy evening to give my party a tour. We started with an extensive charcuterie dish featuring Prosciutto di Cervo Crudo, regional Salami and Speck. We couldn't quite decide on a common first course particularly when it was discovered the Foie Gras terrine was Goose...as opposed to Duck...my wife was anxious as this is her favorite, and it was simply amazing. I had a Grilled or Seared Goose Liver, my friends ordered Pizzochery...all good. Main courses were Venison Medallions, Venison Stroganoff, and Risotto with thin sliced Venison. Perfect, each one. Dessert, they had Cinnamon Ice Cream, Strudel, and Prunes...Wow We all left happy,
I was a bit skeptical when friends recommended me taking a long taxi ride to Maloja just for some sausages. Well, since I am a carnivore I was intrigued.. What I got was the ultimate carnivores delight! The amuse bouche was a home made dried deer to perfection. The flavor had the smoky hint I was looking for and the texture and bite was imply excellent. We then went for the Carpaccio, since I am a big fan of raw meat. I loved every bit of it although it had a tiny hint of selery too much for me. However, as I learned, don't be shy to tell them the things you don't like. We followed with a large plate of sausage variety and it was simply the best I ever had in my life. From friends I know I have to come back next Fall, as Heribert will offer the whole range of deer on a plate. The Engadin Valley is beautiful, for sure. But places like Bellavista make it worth just to go for the food! All thumbs up!!!

Small but very nice cozy atmosphere, nice operation very pleasant after a walk.
The best bark statue I have eaten so far! and all that is prepared in the table!
