Top notch Sunday roast! Excellent service and food was delicious. Really tasty and great portion size.

We had a wonderful Sunday Roast following a starter from the specials board of pan fried scallops. The beef was tender and pink, just as we like it, and the pork and chicken were equally tasty. All served hot and well presented with a selection of veg and an individual pot of gravy. A great choice of desserts and the chocolate brownie is to die for. Our favourite pub when we come up from Hertfordshire to Norfolk as it is always a good meal and great service from lovely hosts. Can highly recommend

I booked a table for Sunday lunch today for 8 of us. I requested some time ago a serving of totally plain vegetables for my grandson and was told it would be no problem. I emailed this also. On arrival I checked again and was told that they could not do this. I ordered extra spring greens but sadly this was kale and tenderstem which he wouldn't eat either. 6 of us had beef and whilst my son enjoys this very rare, the rest of us struggled. It was cold and barely cooked. We asked for steak knives to be able to cut it. It was flavourless as it was so uncooked. Everything else was heavily seasoned or flavoured in every way. For most of us this spoilt what would've been a gorgeous roast lunch. Even the Yorkshire were flavoured...mustard? The desserts were also disappointing. 2 of us had cheesecake which was still frozen. 2 had brownies which were tiny for the money. All in all we were disappointed. Your images of roasts look amazing but ours were not good. I'm not really sure how you could slice the beef and consider it acceptable to the majority. Mine in particular was pink, cold and jelly-like raw meat. Not pleasant. Such a shame for a large party and a very large bill.
