Bidrage med feedbackThe last time we dined here, we had a wonderful experience, so we were hoping for the same this time around. However, we were disappointed to find that our meal was quite different. The hot and spicy wings were indeed hot, but they were overly sour, causing us to only eat three each before sending the rest back. I opted for the battered fish, which was tasty, but the batter was not crispy and the mushy peas were cold and clumped together as if they had just been taken out of the fridge. The server who took our order was friendly and wore a nice uniform and apron, but our food was brought out by young waiters in shorts and t-shirts, which seemed out of place considering the uniformed staff in the bar downstairs. The tables lacked tablecloths, and some appeared in need of them. Overall, I felt that for a restaurant, it was a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps we were just unlucky this time.
Whenever we are deciding on a place to eat in Bray, we always find ourselves coming back to this restaurant. It is very family-friendly, reasonably priced, and cozy. The menu offers a diverse selection that appeals to all of us, and the quality of the food is consistently good. I highly recommend it.
On the night of our anniversary, the restaurant manager Sean was exceptional. He had set up a beautiful long table in the glass veranda with stunning views of the ocean. As guests arrived, the wait staff promptly took their drink orders. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual on the gorgeous Sunday evening with the sun shining on the ocean. We chatted for around 30 minutes without feeling rushed to order. When we did order, the service was prompt and friendly, and our starters arrived quickly. Sean surprised us with a possible new menu addition, a gin and tonic sorbet to cleanse the palate, and asked for our feedback. I gave it a thumbs up. The main courses arrived shortly after, all at the same time for our group of 15. The staff remained attentive, refilling drinks and ensuring everyone was satisfied with their meals. Although we were full after dinner, the Pavlova and Eaton Mess desserts were too tempting to resist. The table was soon filled with delicious treats, including a special Happy Anniversary chocolate dessert for Pascal and me with a candle on it. The food was delightful, and everyone enjoyed their choices. It was a magical and memorable night that all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed, and that we will always remember. A big thank you to Sean and his team at The Tower Bistro.
Good food and menu. No problem here with gluten free, in fact one of the best selections in recent times. Good friendly staff.
Had a booking just recently for my little boys confirmation, service was excellent, staff very attentive and friendly and service was very quick. An extra little touch that I loved and have not seen in any other restaurant is that my little boy was presented with a voucher by staff cause it was his special day. Well done Tower Bistro its rare I compliment but you definitely deserve it. Thanks for a lovely day.
