El Centinela - Braselton

This is one of the best spots for Mexican cuisine. My mother, who is Mexican, typically avoids going out for Mexican food, but she'll happily drive 30 minutes to dine here. The food is delicious and fresh, and the service is consistently outstanding. They make you feel like a friend or family member.

The best Mexican food I've been taking to Georgia for six years!

I decided to try the Burrito Mariachi Especial, and let me tell you, the picture doesn’t do it justice! When it arrived at my table, I was thrilled to dig in. The burrito was massive and perfectly crisp on the outside. I made a slight adjustment to the original recipe by adding fries and chopped roasted jalapeños inside, and I opted for beef instead of chicken. They were generous with the beef, which was juicy and full of flavor! I was initially concerned I might not get enough beef, but this place definitely knows how to serve hearty portions. I also ordered some homemade hot sauce, which was fantastic! It had just the right amount of spice and a hint of garlic that really delighted my taste buds. To accompany my meal, I chose a large horchata, and wow, that drink was gigantic! It wasn’t overly sweet like some I’ve had before, which was perfect. I must mention that they start you off with a nice-sized bowl of chips and salsa, which is always a nice touch. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend El Centinela if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. If I could give more than a 10 out of 10, I would! Thank you for a truly unforgettable dining experience!
