Bidrage med feedbackThe staff and the hotel, in general, were satisfactory. However, the bathtub was dirty, and the windows were so grimy that it was impossible to see outside. The doormen and receptionists were courteous, and the amenities were decent. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet fell short; you had to choose between tea and juice, and there were no options for milk, yogurt, or bagels.
The check-in experience was terrible! I arrived on a Friday at 4 PM during a holiday weekend, and there was only one person handling the check-in process. I counted at least 20 people ahead of me, and by the time I reached the front, there were just as many behind me. Instead of calling in more staff to assist, they decided to distribute chocolate pretzel sticks. There were plenty of employees walking around, but none available to help with check-in. Additionally, they charge $10 a day for parking, which has me questioning what the $31.46 resort fee actually covers.
I really hate to say it, but one star feels overly generous. I treated myself to a night at this hotel, and while the staff and facilities are fantastic, the restaurant/grill needs serious improvements. I chose to dine at the grill and ordered a steak. The prices are outrageous, and I can honestly say this is the worst steak I’ve ever had. I paid $86 for a steak that Applebee's could have prepared far better. The chef or cook in charge of the steaks really needs to consider a different career path or return to culinary school. It was such a letdown after enjoying a wonderful night in such a beautiful hotel, and I will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future.
Originally booked at another place but it was not suited for my family so had to do a last minute search and found the Chateau on the Lake. Pulled into the location and walked in was so happy when the gentleman said that they had availability. Booked a room and was checked in immediately. The decor of the lobby was beautiful with Christmas decorations! The room was nice as well. Didn't get the chance to try the gym or the restaurant. The indoor pool was worth the swim. We all had a good time! If ever in Branson again we will return!
My hubby made dinner reservations at least a week in advance to celebrate my birthday. We had heard so many things and wanted to watch the sun set over the lake while eating dinner. When we arrived, nobody even greeted us at the hostess desk. We had to get someone from the Sweet Shop to help us find someone to even seat us. We were seated in the courtyard because the main dining room was closed with no explanation. (There were tablecloths wadded up in a ball on the floor). The only reason I even gave a 3-star rating was because of Rachel who was working very hard that night. She was the only bartender and only waitress servicing 5 tables and she did so perfectly. There was no regard for any of the customers by the other 3:4 employees who stood around the main dining room the whole time we were there. They moved the same 3 tables back forth, putting the tablecloths on/taking them off/wadding them back up on the floor. Not once did any of them offer to help Rachel wait on the actual customers. Shouldn't the customers experience be your #1 priority???? What a disgrace it was to watch these imbeciles waste an hour+ trying to set up the main dining room for a champagne brunch for the next day!!! I would NOT recommend this place. The food was good but nothing over the top. We won't be back.
