Ellie Ray's Rv Resort - Branford

I hope this was just a one-off experience. We recently moved into a new home just five minutes away and decided to enjoy lunch with a view. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the computer and our order wasn't placed correctly. The disappointing part was that no one checked in with us or asked if we wanted anything from the bar. After waiting for an hour and 45 minutes, I finally approached someone to let them know we were leaving. They informed me that there was a problem with the computer.

As for nearby activities, the Santa Fe River is right at the doorstep, and there’s also a tub and an ametucknee nearby. In terms of walkability, there's a dock directly outside the room, and a bar that serves food and drinks on the property. A note for future visitors: make sure to pack everything you need for the cabin. There is a playground on site for kids, and while the bathrooms are small, the hot water was a plus. There’s also a laundromat at the campsite. We brought our dog along, and they are pet-friendly. They do have picnic tables available for outdoor meals.

The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, located amidst pristine surroundings inhabited by kind and welcoming people. The staff is both professional and friendly, creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. They go above and beyond what the promotional material suggests about the park and its management. Having traveled across the United States and visited numerous parks, I can confidently say that ELLIE RAYS RV PARK stands out among the rest!

Not to ELLIE RAYs! Please, what happened today, it's long, but incredible! Some of my friends and I decided to go to Ellie Rays for the afternoon. We were thrilled by ordering dinner, playing bingo and then finishing the night with karaoke. We came at 2:30 for a 3:00 bingo game. The bar wasn't full, there were maybe 8 people when we arrived. We sat on the terrace and ordered drinks and took menus to order food. Jessie, the other waitress came back with a drink and forgot who ordered it, she also forgot what one of friends ordered (a beer). At 3:00 no one came to take our order, so one of the ladies went in to get a waitress. She found a blond hair waitress and asked if someone could take our order. The waitress replied, “No, now I’m getting involved in bingo.” She told her that we waited and answered in a snippy tone, "Everyone wants something from me, but I'm busy." Finally the other waitress came and took our order. We bought our tickets for Bingo (it's $1 for 1 paper place and every game you need to buy new cards) and our food came out so far. Half an hour after we had eaten, one of my friends felt sick. I landed in the bathroom, threw and had stomach pain. My friend had the same problem, stomach ache and got sick shortly after. She ordered the fried mussels and I ordered the shrimp basket. We didn't know what was going on. When I was sick, there was a woman who asked if I were okay. I told her and thanked her. This lady went to the owner and told him what was going on. We continued to play bingo in the hope that it would happen and we evaluated that the fat that the seafood was bad. We were the only two on our table who had seafood and was sick. After 5 regular bingo games in three hours, yes three, we decided to go because two of us were not good. Jessie, the waitress came by and we told her we were both sick and it had to be the seafood or the fat and asked for our controls. She came back to the terrace, stood in the door and LOUDLY insisted that she had served several shrimps and mussels this day and everyone was fine so that it could not be the seafood. We were embarrassed! We did not address our voices and we tried to be discreet when the waitress Jessie was snotty and obnoxious. We waited for 20 minutes. She came back to the table and Jessie arrived with our checks. A person check was not there and on my check they did not list the two drinks and double loaded me for 2 shrimp baskets. Jessie couldn't remember who had what and was happy. She got the manager. The blonde came by and was very rude and sniffy and told me that my check was right. After a rude exchange, she went back to the bar. Jessie stayed outside and said, "I can't take your dinner from your bill because I need authorization and how you can see that the owner is sitting there and not helping." So my friend, who was sick, Jessie, asked if the owner was on the other side, she said yes and went over to talk to him. who was in cShe went and explained to him that we have become sick from our food and because we have thrown up, we should not have to pay for our meal. He said, "That's too bad. Would you like a message from Bingo-Caller?” She said no and went away. What answer is that?! My friend was unnoticed and disgusted by his remark. After we got the correct check (15 minutes later), my friend went back to talk to the owner. She says we're both sick. He said: "It takes hours to get sick from food," which is actually inaccurate, you can get sick in 20 minutes. She then repeated that we were both sick and we should not have to pay for our dinners. Then he said to her, “You are forbidden and never come again.” There was no screaming and screaming, we tried to be quiet and friendly, and now we are forbidden because the food made us sick? I went back to the bar and paid my bill. When I was waiting, both the blonde and Jessie would have eye contact or help me. Finally, a third girl came after waiting a little.

Bartenders are great. This place is just a normal bar. It served its purpose but, I've been to better. I went for the live entertainment which gets 5 stars.
