Consistently excellent. One cannot go wrong with the $8 lunch hibachi; sushi is fresh and tasty. Try the tornado roll for something different.

Food is 5 star! Service is 1 starI ordered edamame, asparagus roll, avocado roll, and tornado roll.

I had seen several reviews for Asahi and wanted to check it out and I am glad I didA friend and I got five rolls and they were all delicious.

My wife and I ate tonight at the new and improved Asahi Restaurant on Old Fannin. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. The Black Widow Roll was the best I ever tasted. The service was perfect. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The new owner Ahmad Duais came to our table and had a big conversation with my wife and me. I was nervous about the new property, but wow?. Just wow. You hit the ball out of the park. 10/10 we will return in the future.
