Bidrage med feedbackAwesome food is not healthy, but if your one seafood person and want to treat you can not go wrong the sauces are all made in the house and absolutely amazing the only complaint is when you sit and eat it is super with just a few spots to sit it is more of a meeting place or delivery
I've had fish and chips around the world, including at expert restaurants in Ireland and the UK, where the dish comes from. The Chippery, hands down, serves some of the best that I have ever had. I ordered the ShrimpNation (fish, shrimp, and chips) and my wife ordered the Shrimp Basket. The fish was hot, crispy, and had just the right amount of batter so as not to overpower the deliciousness of the fish. The shrimp was large and fresh. The seasoning on the chips was exceptional, as were the house-made tartar sauces! Service was fairly quick, given that they make everything to order, and very friendly. We didn't order to go or for delivery, but it looks like they do that as well. All around, this was an excellent experience, and I am so glad that they are nearby because I am already craving it again. Hats off to The Chippery!
Been curious about ordering from this place since i drive past it every day, getting a menu in the mail sealed the deal for a warm meal on a lazy rainy saturday night. Ordered for delivery, the lady who answered the phone was polite. Delivery arrived way faster than estimated. Fish was tasty with a nice airy crisp, the chips had great seasoning that wasnt overbearing, shrimp was good, calamari was very good, and the clam strips were fantastic. I found myself eating the clam strips without any dip because they were that good. Recently went on a trip to the UK and had my fair share of fish and chips over there this was very much on par. The only thing missing to make the food any more authentic would be an option for some curry sauce! Was also nice our combo came with dessert choice. A very good portion for 2 people. If you like fried sea food, you'll like this place.
I'd been craving fish and chips for a while and noticed this place from my daily commute down 202. It really hit the spot! The fish was fresh and tasty and fried to perfection. Light and crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The chips exceeded my expectations. The shape (oval disks) suggest they were cut from fingerling potatoes, which made for a different and delightful eating experience. They had wonderful potato y flavor and were nice and crunchy, just the way I like them. I often feel heavy and sluggish after eating fried food, but not with The Chippery I felt great afterwards. The only things I would want to change are having access to real cutlery instead of plastic. Also I smelled like fried food after leaving there, and it was so strong that the smell stayed in my car for a while after. Better ventilation in the eating area would be good. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back to try some of the other menu items. Until then, I'm going to be dreaming about those chips!
If you were a fan of the original 'Chippery' in Westfield, NJ, you will absolutely love this place! I say this because it features the same recipes and flavors. So far, I’ve never had fish and chips that come with authentic French fries instead of just regular fries. The fish is delicious, the batter is light and crispy, but the highlight is the roasted French fries dipped in their homemade curry sauce!
