August8 - Brampton

Went to dinner with friends and there were 5 kids between the two couples aged 12-3. We all had the all-you-can-eat buffet and the kids loved being able to order on the IPad. Food came quickly and portions were of fair size. Everything tasted great. The only problem was it took a long time to get the bill and by that time the kids had run out of patience so one parent took them out to run in the mall. LOLWould go there again.

Great taste and friendly staff with amazing customer service. Cozy place very clean and classy. It's just amazing.

Wouldn't recommend this location. Very poor and slow service. Our waters were empty for most of our visit and the food took way longer than it should have. It was very disappointing because other August 8's usually are prompt with the service. All in all our lunch was ruined because of the poor service.

This is my fifth time eating at august 8 since December. Food quality and standards have dropped since my initial visit. Shrimp tempura was served cold. Restaurant was not very clean - floors looked as if they had not been vacuumed for a couple of days. They are no longer accepting debit - cash or visa mc only. Not sure I will give it another try....

We visited this establishment today while we were doing some shopping in the city centre. The restaurant itself looks very nice and gas a nice ambiance to it. The Ipad ordering system is also a nice touch. We were disappointed to find out that the lunch menu had a very limited selection and opted to pay for the dinner menu. While the dinner menu had more options than lunch there still wasn't that much selection compared to other AYCE places we have been.After placing our order it took 10-15min for any food to start coming. The California salad dressing had a very strong mayo flavor and was a bit sour. Cheese wonton were bland and the cheese wasn't gooey like it should be. The sushi was very bland. I ordered surf clam sashimi and you can tell it wasn't cleaned properly as it was very grainy when chewing it. After tax the dinner menu bills came out to 32 bucks a person, that's with no beverages other than water, I find that rather pricey for below average sushi. Also they only accept cash or credit which is rather inconvenient. Overall I don't think we shall be returning any time soon.
