Morrisons - Braintree

Avoid at all costs. Slow service, grumpy staff and hardly anything available on the menu. had to wait ages for coffee!!

Today, I took a taxi to Morrisons in Witham with my 88-year-old mother for a fish and chip lunch. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 2pm, we were informed that they were no longer serving hot food due to a shortage of staff. This had happened before. So, we had to take another taxi into Witham for lunch. This kind of situation has occurred before, and because of this, I have decided not to visit Morrisons again for any meal in the future.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The management is clearly indifferent to their employees, resulting in a chaotic and understaffed environment. It's a complete disaster.

I have had several disappointing experiences at this restaurant in the past. The tables were dirty, the service was poor, they often ran out of items, and the food was mediocre. However, they recently had a refurbishment so I decided to give them another chance. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the service was excellent, the food was superb, and the restaurant was clean. I arrived shortly after they opened, so I am not sure if these improvements will last throughout the day. I may return later to see if the good conditions persist.

Never had no problems here before but the service today was terrible. Decided to treat my 5 year old son to eat out for lunch today but in hindsight should have just stayed home. Upon receiving our drinks we went to find a table. Looking like we were spoilt for choice as there was only a few seated customers but upon closer inspection realising we had a choice of 2 tables as all the others had not been cleaned or cleared by both customers and staff. It then took nearly 10 minutes to just obtain some sugar for my tea (thanks to a kindly elderly gentleman customer and neither of the 2 staff that were actually asked) by which time it was barely warm. We then received our food in a timely manner which was good. What wasn't however was the lack of any forks to be able to eat said food for the next 10 minutes as we had to wait for the tables to be cleared and utensils to be cleaned, by which time food was barely warm. Very very disappointing
