Bidrage med feedbackWe had never been before but had heard good reviews. we were with friends who had been there many times and always enjoyed it. there is so many things wrong with this place. first the booking desk should not be where the main entrance is...More
Extremely disappointing on our 2 most recent visits. My family and I have dined here regularly for many years, such was the quality of their Pizza and Pasta that the team put up, every time. I'm sad to say though, we wont be returning. On our first visit since the change of ownership, our usual Pizza order didn't remotely resemble what we were expecting... The Pizza bases were thin, dry and tasteless and worst of all, the toppings, or lack there of were disgraceful. But we gave the new guys the benefit of the doubt and returned last Friday night to try their Pasta. Sadly, we were disappointed again. The Carbonara we ordered was watery not creamy and no where near as flavourful as it used to be. The garlic bread was half the serve of what we used to receive and seriously lacking garlic. The Lasagne was on a par with something from Coles. I guess what is the most disappointing of all is that a Strathpine institution for many is now gone. And all in the name of change. Seriously, I dont get restauranteurs that buy a very successful business and need to stamp their own mark on things to the point where they stuff it up. If you want to make change that's fine, change the decore... DON'T change the menu... Or don't and drive people away. Great food is what people come back for, time and time again. Another thing, the new guys need to take down the Good Food Guide banner out front. They didn't earn it, the former owners did and, based on our latest experiences, it's an insult to them to keep falsely advertising the accolade. RIP Ziggabalis!
We have been to this restaurant many times but unfortunately will not be returning. Obviously not enough menus printed as we only had 3 at our table between 6 of us and before we all had made up our minds we were asked to give up one of the menus. Nothing on the menu is marked gluten free except for the pasta. Asked if the chicken was gluten free,as one of us is coeliac, when we were ordering and also asked if not could the waitress get back to us with the gluten free options. We waited but did not get a response back so had to approach waitress again to make sure that we were getting a gluten free mealMeals came out staggered. By the time our last person got their meal the first 2 at our table had finished. Luckily we did not wait to eat our meals until everyone was served as they were already cold when they hit the table. Decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Definitely won't be returning or recommending.
Ziggaballis was our "go to" place for birthdays, anniversaries, any celebration - numbers from 2 up to over 50. Now we shall have to find another place. the prices have gone up. The choice and quality has gone done. What has happened to the smaller serve? We were extremely disappointed. Service was fine but the food. Oh dear. Where can we go now to celebrate all our occasions. Our last visit was for lunch but we have had many dinners here as well.
Out for a girls night out. Great service and even better food. Been multiple times and cannot fault it one bit. Our lovely waitress mel was the best and went out of her way!.
