We often go for a stroll along the beachfront and on very sunny days it’s nice to stop in at the harvester for some nice food to round off the day.
We arrived to find that the menu was limited because they were out of gas for cooking. We traveled quite a distance on the hottest day of the year, only to face a nightmare with parking. It was disappointing to be informed of these issues upon arrival. They shouldn't have taken online reservations if they were aware of the problem!
We used to go to the Durley Dean Harvester every week, but we stopped after they changed the menu and we couldn't find what we wanted. I'm happy to report that things have significantly improved since our last visit. Although there have been many staff changes, the service was efficient and quick. We visited with a 50% VIP deal and hope that Harvester will soon join the Tastecard scheme, as many other chains have recently. If that happens, we might consider returning for weekly visits again.
