Stumbled on this cute little coffee shop this morning after getting cinema tickets across the road. Had an iced Americano to take away while I went shopping.. coffee wasn't very strong at all, I'm used to really strong barista coffee at work, maybe for others it'd be okay but for me I couldn't really taste it (personal preference Staff were lovely and I was so suprised how well decorated and set out it was in there (little coffee tables and higher tables with stools, hanging baskets from the ceiling. Had a very natural and calming feel about it which I absolutely adore.. Fresh cakes/rolls/brownies ect. Vegan options and dairy free milk, I saw only oat milk but I'm assuming they have more.. After shopping popped back for food and had the sourdough brie, bacon, spinach and tomato chutney sandwich, which was delicious, got a slice of salted caramel cake too to bring home, the slice is I'd say less an inch thick and very thin at the middle and looks like a fair bit is missing (didn't notice until I got home but for nearly £4 of cake I did expect a bigger slice, maybe not too much bigger but not less that an inch thick... Overall however, lovely staff, lovely décor, lovely food.. great location if you want to grab something and take it to the beach/gardens..
Good luck finding a better cafe than this. The venerable and mighty Coffee Lab haven't been open long, but in this reviewers opinion, are already the best cafe in town. The brews are consistently fantastic and the staff are worth their weight in gold. Music is good too.
Great little cafe, with amazing vibes. The coffee is divine and well presented. The staff are a joy. I would definitely recommend, to anyone wanting a refreshing buzz with your laptop, free wifi. Cakes and few bites also available.
I will start off by saying that this is an excellent cafe to chill in for hours and study, probably the nicest I have seen in Bournemouth centre recently. I am happy it has opened, and while I am not a strict vegan, it 's great that there are so many options for vegans available. However, while it 's a pretty cafe and the atmosphere is nice, the coffee just isn 't that good. I just feel like compared to hipster-ish coffee shops I have been to in other cities, there just isn 't the same level of care put into the coffee menu/method. The iced coffees were particularly sad, at least from the two times I ordered them. I keep going because it 's nicer than going to Costa or something, but this Coffee Lab would be way better if they got cracking with those coffee experiments ASAP.
