The room where we stayed was quiet (in spite of street work outside the door), simply decorated, but with comfortable beds and a good shower and toilet room. Wi-Fi was fine and the restaurant on the ground floor was a reasonable place to dine, with mostly burgers and steaks on the menu, but a friendly ambience and good wine list. The hotel is a budget hotel, but better than average for the price class.
Unpretentious restaurant, but with well prepared simple dishes
Aux Trois Arcades is located near Calais, which we wanted for an early ferry. It is about 20km away and a few km from the highway, so there are no problems. In fact, it is a hotel with a restaurant and not a restaurant and it is called AUX Trois Arcades and not LES Trois Arcades!! In the middle of this rather ordinary, inspiring city, but noise was not a problem for us. The rooms are brightly very clean and the bed comfortable....on a very narrow and narrow staircase. The restaurant is a pizzeria and serves good food at reasonable prices. My GF had a good delicious pizza and I had the beef steak from the menu du Jour. Breakfast was good and fresh. the owner is a very nice man who was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is suitable for an overnight stay at a reasonable price. Overall a friendly welcome, helpful owner, clean bed and room and decent food there is the edge above average.
Came into this restaurant when it seemed to be the only one close by on a Monday evening. It is also a hotel (low cost). The food was quite simple pizza, steak and chips, salads, but it was OK. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Wine was good. There were a number of large families so definitely child-friendly and inexpensive children's menu available.
