Bidrage med feedbackWhat can I say about Rainbows End?? I've been coming here since I was a kid... and while they should either destroy the building or fix the HECK out of it... I still love coming in here whenever I'm home. The floors are slanting down in the back room where the couches and tree are... making it feel like you're about to slide down the hillside and into the creek below. The windows no longer fit correctly into their frames, because of the slanting building. The ceiling leaks horribly when it's raining outside. The place smells musty and damp all of the time... and yet I love it! The couches are in the very furthest back corner... you know. The one that's pointing almost down at the creek. Yet I still sit on those couches, so that I can watch the water rushing down the creek. The smell of the coffees and teas being brewed... one fresh cup at a time. Mmmm!! One word for this coffee lover.... HOME!!
Love the tree inside and view of creek. Breakfast croissant with ham tomato cheese and egg was tasty.
Raccoons pissed on us from the ceiling. Rat turds visable in bathroom which was filthy. Shorted me on change. There when the bring in their Costco food run, your just eating Kirkland food. Holes in the ceiling, full of the best tweakers in BC, including the staff. One guy just ran around reeking of drink and spun!! Plus this old guy who is super creepy looking at my girls trying to talk with them! Turns out they are the owners! Stay away from these wingnuts. Health Department knows about them, so any so called improvements were probably under orders. Don't believe the new management claim, same nut bags as before.
Ok first I have been coming here since 2011. I'm trying to support small business in my town but this place has ended it for me. In the morning you have to battle through people who look like junkies. The employes are tweakers that seem to be the ringmaster of the junkies. Go across the street to the gas station for coffee, they have a more knowledgeable staff.
The Rainbows End is a cute local coffee shop in Boulder Creek. The coffee is good, the prices are about average for most coffee shops (ie not cheap). They have dessert and food items in addition to just coffee. There is TONS of seating in the restaurant, I think there was a fire place too. Nice seating area on the back side of the restaurant that overlooked the creek below. One interesting point is there is a HUGE TREE growing right up through the center of the place. I guess they built around it. Kudos for that. They also have WiFi, but you have to purchase access to it, which is a bummer in my opinion. I'll gladly buy coffee, tea, or something while I'm there, but I hate paying for wifi at coffee shops. Overall I give the place 4 stars. I'd deduct a star for the wifi issue, but they earn it back with the fact that the coffee shop is literally built around a tree. I'm ALL for saving the trees! Oh and if you have you Medical Mary Jane card, there is a little dispensary in the same tiny strip of shops so I hear. They don't have a sign, but I'm sure if you asked the coffee shop proprietors which suite was the dispensary, they'd know. Also a massage parlor in the strip (normal kind...nothing erotic) and a nail and hair salon. Never been to any other shop in this strip other than The Rainbows End.
