Sakurabana - Boston

Excellent sushi in a city where finding quality options can be challenging. The lunch donburis are fantastic as well, particularly the katsudon.

I visited on a Monday for take-out sushi for lunch, and the place was bustling. I had to wait 25 minutes for my order, which I typically consider a positive sign, as it indicates that their sushi is popular and likely fresh.

This sit-down sushi restaurant is not overly fancy, but the food is quite good. My dining companion and I started with the gyoza, and we both chose a couple of maki rolls for our main course...

I had a great experience during my first visit, but today was truly outstanding! The beef onion udon was exceptional—deliciously spicy with a wonderfully sweet and flavorful broth. The sushi was perfect, and the sake was delightful. They close from 2 to 5, but the prices, location, and food make it all worthwhile.

Overall a good Boston Sushi Bar. The lunch hour is always busy, but they also have seating downstairs when it gets really busy.
