Mariel - Boston

I was so happy they had small plates so we could try a few different things. I would recommend the empanadas, calamari, arepitas, and sticky ribs (those are all of the small plates we ordered). The daiquiri tree was so much fun, and I’m glad we had room for dessert because the “coffee and doughnuts” was one of my favorite parts. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Boston!

Much better experience this time around for our one year anniversary. The food was incredible, atmosphere and service were top tier. Highly recommend the gnocchi, arepas, empanadas, as well as the DTO shots. The underground club is also very solid, definitely would have stayed for a while if my wife didn’t have a headache.

If you want a life altering experience in the form of food and presentation, Mariel is the place. I didn't get a chance to even take a picture of the food because it was already gone by the time they put it down.The drinks are delicious and strong and presented in a great way. They also have a Mojito tower that serves 9 that I also recommend for big parties of people.The food however was unlike anything I've ever tasted. The perfect sear on the scallops, the softness of the Gnocchi, the crispy calamari, everything was delicious and presented in a great way.The price is also incredible. With 3 people, 2 drinks each and shots for everyone was just under $90 per person. For the quality of food, atmosphere, helpfulness of the waiter (John you were incredible to us) and more, Mariel is one of the top places in Boston to dine out at.

Loved the experience there. Beautiful decor. Prompt service. Best part they have good vegetarian options and you can also make it vegan on request. Recommend a reservation before going in. Perfect place for gathering with friends/families and even dates. Sophisticated and a happy vibe. Dress-well to get some nice pictures. Would recommend the Avocado Con Mojo and it’s very filling. My husband recommends the Oysters. He was very happy with the preparation and said it was unique and very nicely cooked. Overall food was good with perfect portion sizes. Would go back again soon.Vegetarian options: You do have decent vegetarian options. You can also make it vegan on request. My request was very well taken care of.

This is a gorgeous restaurant with great ambiance and a really nice bar. It is a little pricey and you need to make a reservation if you don't want to wait around. The mojitos are delicious! You can order an assortment of appetizers and create your own tapas.
