When she asked if I didn't want a meal, I thought to myself that a meal should be something I genuinely want to spend my money on, not something they were pushing because of poor service. Meanwhile, I could hear the staff chatting and laughing in the back while customers were left waiting, and there was no food being prepared or cooked promptly. This is why restaurants in Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale, and Mattapan struggle to thrive—due to a lack of customer service and a noticeable lack of effort. When my beef patty finally arrived, it was dry and tough, likely because it had been microwaved. Additionally, my dumplings were hard, so I ended up tossing them out. I paid $3 for two small, dry dumplings that were clearly left sitting around. I spoke to my Jamaican chef friend who told me that the best place to eat is Blue Mountain, and I should have called him first. I’ll be trying them next!

Overall good place. But the dinner I got tonight was not to my liking. I asked for white rice they gave me rice and beans, then on top of that the vegetables were dried up and nasty. This isn't the first time either, plus my fish didn't have any sauce on it at all and was oily. I guess sometimes the cooks and food change.

The food is excellent, and the staff is highly professional. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

I have been going to this establishment since it opened it's doors. The food quality has really decreased, food is very over cooked. Deserts horrible, presentation is horrible and it is over priced. I recently bought j chicken and ackee and saltfish. Both were less than desirable in taste, presentation and cost. If management is reading the reviews I know you guys can do way better.

I've been going to the establishment for a while but tonight my food was trash. I got a medium curry chicken and they gave me three pieces of chicken and it was one leg cut up and the other one was a chicken back. I hate chicken back! And on top of that the j chicken was cold. Who serves cold j chicken? I'm not trashing the place. The food is really good but my mail was not totally disappointed tonight. Beware when going to this establishment
