The sushi at this restaurant is quite impressive, with a diverse menu to choose from. They offer sushi boats which are perfect for sharing with a large group. The restaurant is spacious with two floors providing ample seating. I have mostly visited this place for group dinners, especially convenient for colleagues working in the area. The service has been satisfactory with average wait times.

Genki Ya Boston is a fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of delicious food and drink options. They offer some of the most affordable drink prices in eastern Massachusetts. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful time dining here before heading to Royale.

Great little place in downtown Boston. Good miso, and nice tuna sashimi. Sapporo required of course. Recommended

Overall, Genki Ya in Boston offers a great value with their $16 lunch special, which includes a variety of sushi pieces, Miso soup, and a salad. While the freshness of the sushi may have missed the mark slightly, the flavors were decent and the presentation was visually appealing. The staff provided swift and courteous service, making for a pleasant dining experience. While it may not be a culinary revelation, Genki Ya is worth trying at least once, especially during dinner service when the kitchen is at its best. Hopefully, the sushi will be fresher next time. I would consider returning, particularly during dinner hours.
