Fiouna's Persian Fusion Cuisine

I used to love Fiouna's and visited frequently a couple of summers ago. Unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. They've reduced their lunch box to half a skewer, and the dinner box now only includes one skewer for $16.95. Plus, they no longer include any sides or the grilled tomato. I wanted to point this out since the restaurant hasn't made an effort to update their menu or inform us of these changes after we placed our orders.

I like to breakdown the pros and cons of this restaurant : Pros: Friendly staff Clean Location Delicious Side dish Wait time was decent Outdoor sitting is available Cons: No taste or smell of saffron in saffron rice Food was served in disposablepolyurethane dishes !!! The utensils are also disposable/plastic Overall, It could be better

The food is visually appealing with vibrant colors, but unfortunately, it lacks flavor. The meat seemed to be cooked quickly over high heat, resulting in it being only partially cooked. Additionally, we were asked by the owner to sit outside for dinner because it was nearing closing time, and we arrived around 7:40 pm.

This place serves the best falafel I've ever had. The falafel has a thin, crispy exterior that gives way to a soft, moist center filled with flavor. The wrap was also quite enjoyable. We tried the stuffed grape leaves, which were topped with a drizzle of mildly spicy red sauce that added a nice touch. Although the restaurant has only a few tables in the dining area, the air conditioning was a welcome relief on a warm spring day. The staff was very friendly and waved us goodbye as we left.

I?ve been a loyal patron of this business for around 3 years now. I can say confidently that you won?t get better and more authentic Persian food than this little gem on Peterborough street. Another thing I?ve kept track of, if that that not once havethey messed up my order. They?ve always been spot on with generous, fulfilling portions. Everything on the menu is made freshand the quality is actually superb. A special shout out to Melissa for being a great manager as well the owners who are alwaysin the restaurant taking care of their customers.
