Bidrage med feedbackOur children recommended us this area and we were happy that they did. I would give the food at Coppa a total of 5 stars. We started with Soppressata Pizza as an appetizer. I thought it was delicious, the crust was chewing and perfectly carburized. I thought it had the right amount of sauce and toppings, my wife thought it had too much garlic. I had the Bucatini Pasta with mushrooms. I thought it was fabulous, the pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked and the sauce had a wonderful taste (almost fleshy, without meat) from the mushrooms that were really good. I do not often order mushroom-based sauces, prefer meat or seafood, but I very enjoyed this dish and would order it again. My wife had the Rigatoni in Bolognese Sauce and it was also very good. Our server was excellent, attentive and appealing. Maybe ask yourself why the 3 star rating given all that, well, the place itself is very small and the seat is tight. We had a table for two against a wall that was good, as the table next to us was about 2-3 feet away. From the point of view of privacy there was no one. The small size of the table (3 feet to 4 feet) required us to carefully manage the placement of drinks and water to ensure that we have enough places on the table for dishes and plates to share common food. I was also disappointed with the selection of wines. The most expensive bottle was $65 and there were only 3 options for white wine through the glass, all Italian. I asked for the next to a Chardonnay and I was disappointed in it because it tasted nothing like a Chardonnay. My wife enjoyed her cocktail and it looked like they had a decent beer choice so that could be a better alternative, unless you love Italian white. Finally, they added a 3% service fee to the bill to help offer a competitive reward for our unbridged employees. I understand that all restaurants in Boston do this, not sure whether it is prescribed by law or just a practice that all restaurants do. In any case, I do not like the precedent and believe that restaurants should calculate prices that allow them to pay their non-tip employees without asking me in chip. What is next, service fee to help with gas / electricity billing?
Very enjoyed every visit here, especially the pasta dishes. The following are my notes back from a few years, posterity: sweet bread amazing. Pig shoulder very nice, but the chicken sausage was honestly the star of this plate. Gnocchi was nice, but a bit milder than I was hoping. Cured egg yolk didn't come through. Really the beautiful taste from the mushroom seemed especially to increase this dish. Good pizza. We look forward to returning to pasta, sausage and interesting bites!
This place is a jewel! The hotel is located in a large part of the southern end and the Vibes are immaculate. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it is more intimate. The service was amazing! The waitress recommended the perfect dessert a candle to celebrate a birthday for us. The food is amazing. The Arancini is some of the best I ever had the truffle pasta (Tajarin Al Tartufo) was a perfect part and not too heavy. 10/10
I came to an early lunch with a friend. We were not greeted at the front, although a host sat at the booth when we came in. He talked to someone and went away for a minute. The food was mediocre. The pasta was not hot, it was warm and friendly room temp. The pizza is missing taste despite the tasteful ingredients listed. I felt the prices were higher than they would have been for food.
Overall: 3.5/5Ambience: 4/5, small space w small tables, adequately lit, plenty of ambient noise, a bit loud for a 1:1 date but perfect for small groups of friendsService: 4/5, attentive, we were seated at our appointment time one Tues 6p, prompt drinks, food within 15min of orderingPrice: 3.5/5, on par with most of Boston, $16 drinks, $15 apps, and $25 35 pastas; $65 per person for a drink, pasta, and split app/dessert. Enough to fill my friend and me.Food/Drink: 3.5/5I acknowledge I tend to be picky of Italian restaurants, and Coppa did not live up to the hype. Jungle Bird $16): stand out of the night; delicious, rum based, not overly sweet Arancini $15): 3; underwhelming, not enough cheese or sauce Carbonara $32): pancetta and uni cut through, but not enough, pasta was lukewarm Bucatini Vongole $28): better of the 2 pastas; tomato based sauce with mushrooms, rich in flavor Tiramisu $13): well sized; unique in its addition of nutella; solid but not impressive.
