Bidrage med feedbackGreat atmosphere, but we arrived at 2:30 and unfortunately, they don’t start serving crawfish until 4 PM.
This restaurant offers delicious BBQ and steaks. The atmosphere is fantastic, and there’s plenty of space for gatherings. Our waitress, Michele, provided outstanding service.
My husband and I visit this restaurant every few weeks while running errands. The wait staff is both professional and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is quite pleasant. It's the only BBQ place where we don’t notice the smell of burning wood. The beef lacks bark, and the BBQ sauce tastes a bit diluted. I usually order the hamburger, and my husband goes for the half chicken—both are good choices. However, we rate the BBQ and overall pricing negatively, while the ambience definitely earns a thumbs up.
The drinks were weak and watered down, and definitely not worth the price—I'd hardly pay $2 for them, and even that's being generous. So, during our next visit, we skipped the drinks, even though we enjoy having one with a nice meal. The steaks we had were completely tasteless. My salad, which looked appetizing in the menu and for which I paid extra, came with just one piece of strawberry and maybe three pecans. It was disappointing to see such a meager portion after paying more for it. It's like they counted out those three pecans and one strawberry in the kitchen—how pitiful! The side vegetable was just as disappointing—four thin slices of zucchini. Honestly, at home, I sauté two whole zucchinis and one yellow squash as a side for us! I believe that side cost about $4. The French fries were still excellent, and the loaded baked potato was a decent value, but honestly, I can prepare both at home. Additionally, the atmosphere was unpleasant. The loud music made it impossible to have a conversation, and the rectangular tables were not romantic for two people. Most tables in the main area were the tall ones with uncomfortable chairs that are difficult to navigate. It’s really sad to say this, but I’m surprised they’re still in business. I won’t be returning. I’m willing to spend money on a nice dinner with strong drinks and good food with reasonable portions, but this place just isn’t worth it. I just wanted to share our experience to set expectations for others.
They managed to squeeze some tables together, but there was hardly any space for food, drinks, or even to move comfortably. When three additional guests joined us, we requested to add another table, but the manager, Chuck, denied our request, claiming they had no more tables available. We noticed several empty tables in the dining room that he said were reserved, yet at least one remained empty for the entire evening. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how it operates, but what disturbed me most was the rudeness and lack of accommodation from the management. Instead of offering a solution or assistance, Chuck was confrontational while my elderly mother-in-law and a disabled guest stood without a place to sit. After about 15 minutes of tense discussion, we were finally provided with a high-top bar table for everyone to sit down. As a result of this experience, Silverstar has lost 20 customers who are willing to spend money, but we will certainly take our business elsewhere.
