Taqueria San Miguel - Bossier City

My sister and I dined here today, following a recommendation from her son. We each ordered the lunch taco and cheese enchilada. The red sauce on the enchilada was the best I've ever tasted, and they definitely didn’t hold back on it. The taco was also enjoyable, and the beans were outstanding. The chips, salsa, and white queso were fantastic as well. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning!

Terrible experience. I ordered the queso flameado, which is supposed to come with a sauce—not just cheese sauce. What I got was dry, flavorless chicken fajitas. I've eaten here before and was disappointed then, and nothing has improved since. I won't be coming back. They have a bad tendency to slather Velveeta cheese sauce over burritos and other dishes. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The staff was not honest claiming this is an authentic Mexican food/restaurant. I ordered the combo fajitas, the fake chicken/steak/ shrimp came from frozen bags at Sam's club. Clearly not marinated in authentic spices/seasons, The next lie I was told is the corn tortillas were homemade and that they have authentic street tacos all untrue. Nothing about this restaurant is authentic, so sad. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for some real Mexican food.

As it was my first visit, I found it a bit challenging to decide what to order, but I ultimately couldn't resist trying the Birria Tacos that I spotted on Google Maps. The food arrived quickly, and I was eager to dig in. A word of caution: these tacos were quite messy, and I ended up using about three large napkins to clean up! The plate came with three tacos, a salad, some Birria dipping sauce, and a green hot sauce. I found myself opening the tacos to add a squirt of the green sauce before dipping them into the Birria sauce. While the tacos were tasty, I didn't think they compared to the Chica Tacos at Ramirez. On the downside, they were quite greasy and contained more fat than I typically prefer in a taco (I’m not a fan of excess fat in my tacos). They were also a bit slippery to the touch. However, the flavor was fantastic! So, would I return? Absolutely! I enjoyed the chips and salsa and would love to explore more items on the menu.

The tacos were as delicious as always. We've tried many places around Bossier and Shreveport, and I have to say, these are the best.
