Vibrante Restaurant - Boroondara

Our most recent visit to this establishment was a mid week lunch for 4 diners and we found it to be very peaceful, not crowded and as usual good food and service/

On the 29th July we celebrated my daughter's 21st and our main waiter was Bransen. He was a well mannered waiter and informed us on everything he did. He took all the orders in a proper manner and new exactly what people had ordered when bringing them out. Made sure that there were always enough drinks. In all he was a very fine and polite person and made us and all the guests very welcome. I give him a 10 out of 10. Well done Bransen.

I guess the lack of people in the restaurant should've given us a heads up. Set in an old body repair garage the facade offers an inviting invitation. Inside it's somewhat sterile. We sat in a booth and ordered drinks. Iced chocolate was mostly ice cream, too sweet and undrinkable. Tea - weak and had to ask for a second bag. Main course 2 x smashed avo. My daughter is an expert and she could hardly eat it. Too much lemon juice and very mushy. My corn fritters were very average. Not cooked through fully. Eggs nice but not quite cooked with runny whites. Scrambled eggs bland. Waiter offered to replace but by then we were feeling somewhat over it. So the good stuff. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Toilets are clean. Will try a dinner here to see if there is a difference.

The occasion was a 90th Birthday fixed price lunch with 34 people. We had a good size private room which allowed us to mingle beforehand and during the meal. Our party supplied the cake/sweet and staff obligingly provided dessert plates and utensils for our use. Fantastic service from Bransen and Nav.

This was a special occasion for a friend, there were about 30 people. Great menu to choose from, service was great. I asked for fruit salad for desert as I am a diabetic, they gave me a lovely bowl of fresh fruit, without any problems.
