The Manningham - Boroondara

Good selection of food on the menu at reasonable prices. Setting was nice and the staff polite and attentive.

We are a small group who wanted a private room for an end of year meeting. The Manningham provided this, and the lunch was from the bistro. Very nice room, comfortably fitted 20, and had Christmas decorations which added to the atmosphere. The ladies enjoyed having the privacy for the meeting, which enabled an easy open area for discussion. Lunch was ordered and we all had a relaxed, an lovely meal together. Thank you to the Staff.

I went to the restaurant last Saturday night and was a bit disappointed. The meals were okay, but the customer service was lacking. I used to be a regular before COVID, but since the lockdown, it hasn't been the same. This visit was by far the least enjoyable. There was no friendly greeting upon arrival, just a quick question about a booking and then straight to the table. While the waiters weren't rude, they lacked the usual customer interactions. None of the waiters checked in on us during our meal or said goodbye when we left. The restaurant wasn't even busy. I understand there may be staffing issues, but happy customers lead to positive reviews. We used to get complimentary bread rolls, but that has stopped, and the menu seems different. The steak seemed smaller and more expensive, and the side salad only had one sad-looking tomato. The Tiramisu was disappointing, more like chocolate sponge with canned mock cream. While there are meals for most tastes, it's just standard pub fare and nothing stood out to make me want to give a glowing review.

Enjoyable evening at wonderful venue after a year. The food tonight was excellent and great value. Very pleasant staff. Back soon.

I am not a Hotel come Pokies Visitor hence writing a positive review experience about this style of establishment is unusual for me. We got there simply because we needed a quick meal and were quiet surprised with the setting (all green and just lovely) and the Entrance is quiet impressive and wait for it...the Bistro also has those lovely green views and the food was really nice. Yep, they had those Chicken Parma on the menu but also really nice salads and dishes you normally don't find in these venues. We were quiet impressed with the setting, food and excellent service. Great find for an inexpensive dinner.
